Woof! Chicago
Allison is a graduate journalism student at Northwestern University. At Medill, she is concentrating in magazine journalism.
The Woof! Chicago project is an integral part of Allison’s interactive storytelling coursework. The Woof! Chicago section will serve as an educational source for those who want to learn more about businesses, trends and other dog-related issues in Chicago and Evanston. It will also function as a place to find out how to help those animals in need. Educators, students and whoever else is interested can explore the multimedia site.
This project will also explore how the government has cracked down on a pet-friendly bars. A profile on the Evanston Animal Shelter may open your eyes to the pets given up by their owners or found on the streets. Pet-friendly apartment complexes explain why they made the choice to allow pets.
Allison worked as the first sexual issues reporter in the downtown Chicago Medill newsroom. Visit medillnewsservice.com to view her and other graduate students’ multimedia stories.
Enjoy and have a waggy-tail kind of day.
